So,  know that a wired ethernet connection is faster than  wireless connection, but my pc is in a position where I cannot run an Ethernet cable from my router to it so if i plugged a WIFI booster into the wall and used the ethernet port on that to connect my pc to internet, would that be faster than a wirless connection or the same and how would it compare to a router based wired connection?

What wifi extender did you use?

Normally wifi repeaters aren't great, so geting a good wifi card would be better.

What speeds are you trying to get? Getting much over about 500mbit on wifi is pretty hard.

Can you setup moca in your house with coax?

I haven't bought one yet, I'm after speed around 150-250 mbps.

The performance would be the same or worse than a normal wireless connection as you're limited by the slowest link in the chain.

Have you considered running an Ethernet cable exterior to the home? LTT has an old video on how to do that:

As Electronics Wizardy has suggested as well is MoCA available to you?

How far awawy from your router? What model of router? What speds do other devices get in that location?

Id probably get a wifi card with the intel ax200 chipset, and a external antenna.

I found that internal or external wifi cards get me horrible reception in my studio (other side of the house) and I do use a wifi repeater as a wired network connection.
Honestly it works great, the only issues I  ever have with it are either because my router is the standard ISP provided one and it sucks ass or because my PC kills its own drivers every once in a while and I end up getting IP config errors (which windows fixes automatically).

I'm not saying it's the best option but it certainly is an option
