Is userbenchmark high?

I was doing some checking on the current state of cpu prices and such so i decided to use what userbenchmark cause it's the most convenient for me and found this result IMG_20200820_122722.thumb.jpg.3c715fe0b7723ee24648e16438e1bea4.jpg it's confusing how a 6 cores can out preform an 8 core not to mention it's half the price

I mean that got me questioning my existence

Cause i remember 2 months ago when 10thgen intel cpus  that the i9 was better at "gaming" but the ryzen 9 was the the better overall . And i double checked and it was right so my question is do you think there's a problem with the site or  am i just too biased toward amd

you cant really rely on userbenchmark.

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

UB scoring system sucks

it weights single threaded performance too much, and basically disregard anything above 8 cores

not too surprising to see this result

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

It's a piece of garbage.

Fake and not reliable. Use something like cinebench and compare your score with the same cpu.

Or watch videos benchmarking the certain cpu and check.

well i3 9100f is on par with threadripper 3990x (64core) according to userbenchmark.

UB is full of shit

If you want to compare cpus for yourself, determine what loads or games you will be running and then look up comparisons and reviews for them.

This could be written articles by reputable tech sites, video reviews by someone like Linus, JayzTwoCents, Pauls Hardware, Gamers Nexus and the likes or just futuremarks CPU test, Cinebench etc.

Dont look at productivity tests if your only gaming and dont look at gaming performance if you only render videos. The big reviewers most times give you both.

Sometimes there isnt always the desired cpu in the comparisons, but then you just need to know or find out what the difference between the cpu you want and the cpu that is in the chart is. For example, in a 3900x review wont be an i5 or i3, but the i9 9900k. But there may be a launch review of the i5 and in this one there is highly likely a comparison between the lower end i5 and the i9. But then again, shopping at i5 price level but looking also at a high end cpu from the competitor is not that likely so most times youll find a similar cpu from the competitor in the same review.

Its not as convenient as just looking at the stupid bs numbers of ub, but it will actually give you the info you need.

Because enough people seem to use it to display enough ads to make money. Or maybe get sponsored by one cpu manufacturer to display what they like to see (but we don't know, thats more of a conspiracy ive heard)

people might do what you did.

be unsure about current cpu market and when that shows up as one of the first results, they just see, "oh the top 31 cpu's right now are intel cpu's so i'll buy one of thoose" and then just leave it at that.

and if people don't know much about cpu's might not see any reason as to why the 3900x should be better than the 6900k, because 3900 is less than 6900 (some people do think like that), or just because the website said so.

Makes sense

There's always like a 20 ad at the same time on the screen also a featured product

I like useing reviews and legit comparisons videos but this website is like a quick way to check prices and preformence at the same time until now i didn't really question their benchmark so i guess it's used to promote product to the least experienced consumers

just hitting the nail in the coffin with the i3-8350K being 5% better than the 3990X

Wow that's almost seems intentional

It's like they're promoting intel over amd no matter how stupid it might seems
