I am more worried about the light strips than the actual cables.

In the Lian Li website they say they use fiber optics, in these type of light the source of light itself it's at the base of the cable, basically what it means is that where the radiators touch is just cable that is reflecting light coming off the rectangle with the text "Lian Li" and the 3 visible screws, hence the light will be fine since it's not there that it gets generated.

Hey all,

I recently bought a Lian Li 8 pin strimmer and whilst I was instaling it, I realised that it goes right over the radiator for my GPU and a small part is resting on it as well at the end as can be seen in the pictures.

My GPU is a 2080ti and it runs at 35 degrees Celcius idle and 70 degrees Celcius under load.

Is it bad for the lifespan of my 8 pin strimmer if it is right above the radiator (and a little bit resting on it as well) taking in all the heat??

Thanks in advance!

The heat from the radiators is not enough to ever cause any sort of damage to your PC components. It'll be fine.

Those cable are rated for well over 100° and on worst case scenario could only damage the cosmetic of the cable, but I don't think it's enough heat to do any damage to them, beware of the radiators fins instead if you ever need to remove the cable as they easily get smashed

What type/brand are the cables?

Sorry missed the title
