Hi this is my first build. I wanted to get a 3950x or at leat the 3900x but the performance of Ryzen 4000 series was much higher than the 3000s so i wanted to build a pc which i can upgrade the processor next year or so.

The mother board i chose was b550 and the following parts

  1. B550 Gigabyte AORUS pro AC and for
  2. Ryzen R5 3600
  3. Thermaltake tough ram 16gb 3600mhz ram
  4. Sabrent rocket 1tb NVME SSD
  5. WD barracuda 2tb 7200rpm HDD
  6. Antec EAG 750 Watts gold PSU
  7. Antec ice TG300 nothing fancy just basic case with 3 auto rgb fans and 1 rear fan

Now for the video card i was confused wether  to go with 5700xt/2070 super or wait for rdna2 or the new 3000 series from nividia turns out they'll arrive later than expected so i chose one as a temporary fix.

Can anyone guess what video card i went with?

I bet it's a tough guess

Change the PSU I recommend something like the Corsair RMx, 650W would be plenty.

Otherwise you parts looks good.

I would wait for next gen Nvida Ampere. But If you are buying now though the RX 5700/5700XT is the better buy without questions, much better value. The 2070S gets you basically no more performance over the 5700XT and would feel like a bad buy considering launch will likely be announced by the end of the month.

a 750 w unit will be absolutely useless for this build and make sure to mention your country and budget

i would recommend to wait for the rtx 3000 series launch and if u r in a hurry to build now get a rx 5700 xt

If you plan on keeping the PC for a while and you're using the WiFi, definitely get a board with AX over AC.

I'd find a case with good airflow if you plan on buying a top tier processor. Might as well have it cooled properly.

See if you can find a better PSU; consult the LTT PSU Tier List if you need some guidance.

Other than that the build looks decent.

I'd definitely wait for the RTX 3000 series; you'd be leaving a lot of performance on the table if you got something else. If you want to use it while you wait, just hunt down a used graphics card and then sell it when the 3000 series comes out; it won't lose much value if you get a decent deal on it.

I, personally, wouldn't get an AMD card. Their drivers leave something to be desired.

That was my plan intially but considering the romours of the rdna3 already which is expected to have 50% more performance than 2080ti. I think its not worth waiting for rdna2 or 3000 series till year end cos the custom cards areexpected to come out from next year onwards.

So its better to go with wats available rn in my case

Thanks for the reply guys.. for trying to help you guys are awesome

I think i forgot to mention that i completed the build with those parts i mentioned. And i left out the aio.. Sorry for that

As for @alirafi, 750 watts psu seems more a 3600 yes, but i plan to upgrade cpu later next year, not less that a 4900x and current gen graphic cars excluding 1660 & 2060s consume well over 200 watts even then 750 is more than enough but ill have some headroom
