GPU for CoD MW (MP/WARZONE) at 1440p 144hz

BotDamian

Hello,

I have 1500 euros but don't want to spend everything on a GPU, saving money is nice.

Options I've thought about used graphics cards.

2080 Super = 450-550 Euro

2080 = 400-500 Euro

2080ti = 800 Euro

5700XT = 290-350 Euro

I want to run it on a OCed 9600k or 3600x, for now my 2700x does the job too.

you could also wait 2 weeks for the ampere release, getting a 2080ti (or any high end card really) right now wouldnt be a great move.

I also thought about a 1080ti for 400 euro, but what if the prices are now really low and it ends up being that Ampere isn't worth the money? :( and all 2000 series will cost more.

is the 1080ti used or new? either way if you really want the GPU now 450 euros for a 2080 super is pretty good. though we are looking at a new generation of nvidia GPUs so keep that in mind, you can save your money til then.

well, then wait for AMD to release big navi

the new ampere lineup is expected to have much better ray tracing at comfortable frame rates, as well as a minimum increase of 30% compared to the 2080ti. with a budget like yours, and with AMD forcing nvidia to price their products fairly, you will be able to get much better  performance for the same price. ampere should most likely be worth the money

😕

Everyone is gonna say to wait. But the new game will be out by then, so that’s pretty dumb.
Just get a 2080s or equivalent and be happy with the game now instead of playing the waiting game.

It’s literally 2-3 weeks and you get a brand new gen GPU which will be the latest for the next 2 years.

Sometimes it’s just better to wait a little when spending a lot of money.

Sure. I’d rather not. Because like most people, they say not to get the fe version and it won’t be 3 weeks for aib. And that’s assuming they can get one in 3 weeks and it not just being announced.
Id rather enjoy my games now and get another card down the road.

Sure, I get that, I personally don’t wait for anything & pay extra always for the fastest shipping method if I have to, so I get that,

However,

in this case, in the grand scheme of things, just enjoy the rumours, hype, become part of the excitement for something that hasn’t happened for over 2 years and know you’ll be able to pick up a brand new product than go for something coming to the end of its lifecycle in terms of being fresh, new and cutting edge.

It’s a big jump in performance and is well worth a 2-3 week wait.

Games ain’t going anywhere.

There’s nothing to say you NEED to be gaming this very second and pay for something that’s going to be replaced & improved 20-30-40% or whatever the gains will be.

This way, you time your purchase with a new gen so that in 2 years time, if you’re ready to upgrade again, or in 4, you’ll always have the next best thing about to be released.

Maybe that’s just too much for you to handle,

but for OP,

Its worth waiting & seeing.

Well if that’s the case, could always wait for 4000 series. Some enjoy the waiting game. All the improvement I guess.
