Hey! why does my microphone keep on turning down???

Hi! i have been having some issues with my mic and has been automatically turning it downimage.png.6fa9c43015cd59bfa91baf47fc0dca8d.pngthats how i know i wanna keep it at 80 but sometimes it moves as i speak im not sure why i have this setting off image.png.59814d8dccf92d70a30aa3a42c21fb10.png"allow applications to take exclusive control of your device im not sure how to fix this

Lots of voice chat programs (Discord, Teams, Zoom, etc.) have automatic adjustments as you speak that will actually change your microphone sound settings. 

 

What program are you using?

Try turning that off.

Iirc that controls software gain within discord, not windows.

Are you using any software from the manufacturer for your mic? Have you used the "new and improved" Windows 10 audio settings? You can deny every installed software individually access to your microphone and probably also control over its volume.
