Really just how bad is the longevity of a Razer Blade?

“There’s always a lemon”. I get that, but I’ve seen an overwhelming amount of complaints about Razer Blades having a swollen battery, or just straight up breaking right after their warranty expires.

 

I’m trying to replace my Dell G3-3590 which has a few issues, and I’m looking for something that can last around 6 or so years that’s portable and capable of gaming.

 

If the Razer Blade is really that bad, whats your guys’s recommendation for a Battery efficient and Discrete gaming laptop with a good dGPU?

I have an OG Razer Blade 15, with no issues. I don't daily drive it any more, though.

What year is it? And why do you no longer use it as a daily driver?

Considering that all the blades that linus gave out failed and that there are so many people complaining about them dying after 1-3 years I'd say not a good choice at all.

Performance is sub par at this point, just because it's old.

It's honestly worse than terrible and I would stay very far away from any Razer laptop. Please do not get a razer blade I'm trying to save you money, time, and stress. It's not worth it

I wouldn’t get a gaming laptop period. None of them are battery efficient aside from the ones that feel like their built from bricks and they don’t hit their “benchmarked” performance when running on battery power.
