Hey,
I am currently looking for a performance focused case. I am going to upgrade my GPU or CPU+Mobo+RAM, I have not decided yet. And I want to get a new case going along with this upgrade.
I am currently using a R7 1700x cooled by the 240mm AIO from CM on a B350 mobo with 16gb of 2800mhz ram and an RTX 2070 inside a CM MasterCase H500P. At first, I was happy with the thermal performance of my now "old" case. But over the years the issues became more and more apparent to me. And as I grew older and aesthetics mattered less and less to me I began "hating" every single small or big issue this monster has.
That’s why I am now looking for a rather large case where i can install as many unobstructed fans as possible to have a constant airflow in my case and keep it quite even when overclocking both my GPU and CPU. I was considering the o11 dynamic in all its versions. What are some of the advantages/disadvantages of the xl and pcmr editions? Are the NZXT cases any good when purely looking at airflow? The front fans look very obstructed by the front panels?
Or can you recommend me some other cases that would be great for what I am trying to achieve?

I use the Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow. Comes with 3 RGB fans and a lighting node controller that if you bought them separately would cost as much as the case. careful though, if you have an AIO like i do and use a push/pull fan config like I do, it'll be REALLY tough to get anything but an itx board in there. There's also a HDD bay, but it can take up valuable cable management space and you'll have to remove it if you want a 360 rad. Other than that, I really like it, and in terms of air flow you could drop this thing and negate wind resistance. I have to warn you, it's not a huge case. things can get tight.

The 220T isn't actually that good for airflow afaik because the front is quite restricted because of the high amount of steel.

Another upvote on the cases from the GamersNexus best of 2020 video. The TD500 Mesh, Meshify C, Phanteks P400A/P500A, and Cooler Master NR600 are all excellent options for airflow.

If you'd like the NZXT case and look, don't go for the elites, and don't expect the best airflow out of them. I run a Vega 64 and OCed 8700K fine in my H500, but the temps aren't *great*. The case is designed very well however, and much better from what you'd expect for something so closed off.
