What B550 Would You Get?

So as the title states. What B550 Motherboard would you get? I am trying to save for the new RTX 3000's (most likely a 3060 when it comes out) but I figure I would get a new board since I have some money saved. I have over 400 usd but I do not want to spend all of it so I have some savings left over so I do not have to work so hard for the card. So again what B550 would you get?

To me the ASUS TUF Gaming looks good.

The MSI Tomahawk/mortar has good VRM but they lack back usb ports....

If you are not using the 3700x or above cpu AND you don't need PCIE 4.0 SSD, I don't suggest going for the B550 board because the VRM and the PCIE feature is obviously an overkill/unnecessary. In my country the B550 boards cost almost twice the price of B450 boards, which are not value at all.

What are you powering?

And budget?

A good b550 that is decently priced is the a pro which can handle an overclocked 3950x Easily.

But again, budget and what are you powering?

And is it the same as the one in your sig? If so, why do you want to change the board exactly? Unless you're planning on getting zen 3.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

B550 Aorus Pro, B550 Gaming Edge WIFI/Tomahawk or Strix B550-F, any more than that and you should be looking at X570.

Or a B550-A Pro if you're looking to save some money.

Unless you're upgrading to Zen 3 though, a new board won't really offer you much of any improvement over your current one.

I'd get the A-Pro if you are on a budget. It's an awesome board capable of handling an OC'd 3950X

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1

Everything I have is in my list below but just to say, Ryzen 3600, EVGA GTX 1060, 4x 8GB G.Skill Trident Z Royal (3200mhz), 2x Samsung Evo 850 SSD, 2x Seagate 2TB HD, powered by a ThermalTake Toughpower Grand 850 Watt (or 750). I also satated how much I have in the orginal post but at the moment about 400 usd but do not want to spend it all since I want to upgrade to the GTX 3000's. I just think it is time for an upgrade and maybe prepare if I want to go to a Zen3 later so it will be 1 cost I do not have to worry about.

The only 2 things I want are Wifi and a USB 3.2 port on the board (2 if possible). Oh yeah, and RBG BABY.

You can get a wifi pcie card and a 3.2 pcie card  for that.

If you're not moving to zen 3 this board will do the job and is more than enough.

I have a wifi adapter already but I would like it integrated to the board. I miss-spoke about the 3.2 ports although it has to have at least 1 port, I meant to say 3.0 since my case supports 4 3.0 USB ports on the front. And before you say, I already have a card for that.

Ok I do not need to switch boards although strange things have been happening, like I had an HD be totally wiped for no reason. Went to bed fine, woke up completely erased. Had to use recovery software to get most of the data back. Had a Thumb drive do the same thing, again had to use recovery software.  The usb ports like to stop working, have to restart to get them working again. an other weird things too. Now I know it may not be board related but it may be. Plus I may want to go up to the Zen3 in the future (most likely) and it will be one cost I do not have to worry about when it comes that time. So those are my reasons.

ah so if you want to switch to zen 3.

then any of the boards that @Mateyyy listed are good, and will easily handle even the 16 core.
