Gpu problems

Hi i built a pc and it didnt work as intended at first but i managed to fix it but then me being me tried to mess with the registy and it ddint not go well i deleted and did a fresh install of windows 10 i think i have downloaded every drivers and stuff and they are up to date but i still drop to 40 to 60 fps in cs on lowest settings and in fortnite i drop to 30 to 80 fps on lowest settings and i need help can talk in discord and screenshare.

have you tried removing (DDU) the driver and go with windows default ones?

Do you have other stuff running the background as well?

Did you install windows over the old installation or did you wipe the drive first?

i did everything on it and no nothing in the backgrond

What fps do you normally get?

 

How are the temps?

right now i get around 30 to 350 in fortnite and my old fps was from 190 to 500 fps and they a around 50 to 70 c

Monitor temps and clocks in HWInfo64 and Afterburner.

xmp enabled will check in afterburner and i downloaded them from amds website

You should double check and see if you have the amd control panel installed. Usually these kind of frame drops occur when you are using windows built in drivers to play games. You can also go to device manager and right click on your gpu and press properties and it will say in the little chat thing "This device is working properly."

ps: i found this in bios and its doesnt say 5700 xt but says something else look at the picture is that right?

AMD bought ATI a long time ago. I'm surprised AMD hasn't completely relabeled their tech under AMDs name.

 

But yes. It looks fine. That's exactly what's in that slot.

 

You have a strange issue as a reinstall is usually the be-all & end-all fix for software issues. An FPS problem on Ryzen after a fresh install would be a problem anywhere between the CPU/RAM/GPU.

 

Did you change any BIOS settings? Is your RAM running at 3200MHz? Is your CPU boosting? Is the GPU boosting? Are there any applications running in the background hogging resources like an anti-virus?
