Okay so I come from the old Intel days where the only thing you needed was Intel. I purchased a PC in 2008 and upgraded in 2011 and this is the 1st time I upgraded to AMD.

The reason I got the R7 240 was because I was on a budget and my work in the Graphics & Web Field required me to use a GPU.

I hardly game and when I do its just the odd Craft the World! I mainly use my PC to run Adobe Suite CorelDraw and watch movies & Series.

"stupid question to follow!!!"

Will the integrated GPU as you stated run my software?

The Integrated Graphics (iGPU) within your Ryzen 3400G Processor is quite powerful compared to the R7-240.

It is just like any other graphics card...just built into your CPU.

Did you check your playback device options within Windows?

Is the audio option through the R7-240 disabled?

Under 'Manage sound devices'

Under 'Sound' in Control Panel

Hi all.

I'm currently experiencing technical difficulties with the AMD Radeon R7 240 GPU sound via the HDMI.

This is my setup.

Motherboard: A320M - A PRO MAX

CPU: Ryzen 5 3400G

RAM: 16GB 2666

GPU: Radeon R7 240 2GB

Monitor/TV: Sony Bravia 32"

This is a brand new build and on the intel build I had everything worked including the sound via the GPU.

All of the following drivers were installed.

Realtek HD Universal Driver

Realtek PCI-E Ethernet Drivers

AMD Graphics Drivers

AMD Chipset Driver

Windows Build: V 2004 (OS Build 19041.388) Win 10 Pro

I hooked up my Sony TV to the PC via the GPU and nothing but visual I've installed the AMD Adrenalin 4 times current version is 20.4.2

What else do I need to do I'm out of ideas! Hope anyone can help me with this issue.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Did you switch audio output devices in the Win10 control panel audio settings? Why are you using the R7 240 when the Vega 11(in your 3400g) is way better?

Why are you using the 240? The integrated gpu on the 3400g is a lot better.

I have checked that section and it only gives a red x over the speaker I cant switch between devices.

After removing the GPU the sound works as I hooked up the tv hdmi to the motherboard hdmi output.

Hi

I did all the checks on the sound when I had the card in and it didn't even give me an option to select a device.

So i came here for help and got it.

I removed the R7 and all is working sound video I can edit in all my Adobe programs.

Thank you all for your help and support and TIME!

Thank you all
