Xiaomi Redmi Airdots keep connecting to my phone, even when charging

Hey

I just got my new earbuds, the Xiaomi Redmi Airdots. 

Form what I've been able to read in the manual, they should turn off when in the charging case. 

Despite that, they keep connecting to my phone, and forcing my speaker off. 

 

Anyone tried something similar or know how to deal with it?

My fake airdots all did the same thing, hope you actually received the real deal,
