Have you tried WinX DVD ripper? it works really well and it works really fast because it supports gpu as well.

Just put in a random fake email and it gives you a copy of the program for free.

No I haven't. Does it work with copy protected DVDs? Because that seems to be what I am having problems with.

Handbrake, hands down. Although, technically that's for ripping to an encoded video file. That's a much better use of resources though, because you get get virtually equal quality for a fraction of the file size of storing all the VOBs. You also take the need for a software player out of the equation, which is always has to be licensed, and therefore, will be a recurring expense.

I already tried HandBrake with libdvdcss and it didn't work.

When you say to multiple things that it didnt work, what is it not doing? Handbreak and MakeMKV are staples in the ripping scene so that seems odd.

The movies that I"m trying to rip are really copy protected and none of the programs can get past the protection.
