i5 7500 worth it?

Go to solution Solved by Mateyyy,

I'd look for a 6700/7700, otherwise it's just not worth it imo.

Hi! How is everybody?

Right now I have a PC with ASUS Z270f board, a GTX 1050 Ti, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz RAM and a dual core CPU, not to mention SSDs and hard drives. I know that spending on a 7700K is not worth it today since Ryzen 3300X exists. However I already have a working motherboard with slow 2400 MHz Ram sticks which are not ideal for a Ryzen build.

I normally play CSGo, Dota 2 and some indie games. But I might decide to start playing Red dead redemption 2 and GTA VI at 1080p 72Hz in the near future. So, what do I do? I don't really want the transition to a AM4 motherboard. Do you think I should go for the i5 7500?

Thanks

I had a i5 7500 3 years ago and it was starting to struggle even then. 4C/4T is obsolete in 2020.
