I'm just looking at current options. Its also unlikely when Ampere and big Navi are around, that they'll be available where I am without over inflated pricing due to taxes and the retailers markups on price. Not likely to be building a system soon anyways due to covid. Just wondering and speccing out some parts lists.

For the most part they're fixed afaik.

I don't own a Navi card. But people say that they're fine now.

The reported issue have been fixed, a lot of tech TY channels had confirmed this. Nothing prevent them from introducing further issue in the future though, I would stay away from AMD if you want a smooth sailing experience.

Nope, they are back, and AMD are clueless on how to solve it:

AMDs statement from Adrenalin 20.7.2 Hotfix notes:

AMD will continue to monitor and investigate any new reports of black screen or system hang issues during extended periods of gameplay closely. Users are encouraged to use the new Bug Reporting Tool for any issues they may encounter.

Ah the last driver. Yea I guess. I mean I could've been wrong as I don't use an AMD card.

It's a bug that affects certain configurations, that's why it's more difficult to solve than average issues.

If AMD had a proper and organized driver team that prioritize stability and usability rather than focusing on a fancy UI and other gimmicks, that problem would be solved instantly.

Yea. Disappointing considering Navi isn't actually bad hardware wise, it's relatively good for gaming.

If you read the sources i listed, you will see that the problem had spread to cards other than NAVI...

Vega is the most affected by it,but it's not limited to Vega.

Seems like the driver team copied the code that cause the problem to the drivers of Vega and other GCN cards...

That's not a proper way to write drivers since the products are from different architectures,

While you can copy some components of the drivers, the ideal is to write the code from scratch as much as you can,it helps in preventing and avoiding all sorts of issues and problems.
