Fried my graphics card.

So it’s been 3 years since this happened.  I was dumb and cleaning the dust out of my graphics card, but the pc was plugged In and off.  As I was reinstalling it my child got curious and came over to watch.  He then presses the power button 😂.  The card was only halfway installed. Shut it down, unplugged it and reinstall it.  Now I just get lines Across the screen.   The graphics card isn’t anything nice, a 270x.  However I have a spare computer that I run a minecraft server on.  Id love to be able to use it, but it’s obviously broken.  However I have heard of the whole baking a gpu thing.  And I really don’t have anything to loose.  Is it worth the effort?  Or is it more likely I fried a resistor or some other electrical component?

Baking the GPU to re-solder it will not fix a fried/blown card. When you bake a GPU it's heating up the solder and essentially refreshing the connections that can come loose or corrode. If you electrically fried the GPU then baking it would likely do nothing. You more than likely fried an electrical component like a capacitor or chip.

BGA reflow does not happen in an oven and you need a reflow station which are super expensive. You might be able to revive a card for a few months but it won't fix it. Linus got burned hard for spreading misinformation on the baking method and Rossman showed him what it actually takes
