Will the RX 5700 XT keep up with Zen 3?

Will the RX 5700 XT keep up with Zen 3?

I am considering buying a Ryzen 9 3900X / Ryzen 7 3800X currently, because Im uncertain if the GPU will bottleneck the CPU?

I'd be buying from the top row for the best performance, i.e 4700x, 4800x, 4900x.

For gaming?  The GPU being the "bottleneck" isn't a problem, it's when your CPU's too slow to keep up with the GPU that you run into issues/inconveniences.

Also buying a 12-core for gaming is pointless.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Well yeah kind of a stupid question, but what would you do in my shoes? Im looking for a processor both gaming and streaming, without having any FPS impact.

Well if you can wait then wait for zen 3. As for a gpu Bottleneck. Probably won't happen and even if it did it won't be huge.

If you want to buy now and stick around the same budget as a 3900X+5700XT combo, either a 10600K (if you play 1080p low settings Esport titles) or a 3700X, paired with a 2070 Super, and streaming with the GPU using NVENC.

If you're not in a rush to buy the components now though, waiting to see what Zen 3 and the next-gen GPUs bring is definitely the way to go.

If I had the ability to wait then I would honestly wait for next gen stuff if I couldn't I would get a 3700x and a 2070 super if you want to use nvec.

Well you can either use nvec and have no performance hit or you can get something like a 3900x and use x264 and game at the same time.
