The title pretty much says it all, I have one 1440p display and also a 1080p, but I was wondering if running them off the same card would decrease performance on my main monitor, the 1440p one, that's where I'll be playing all my games.

Note - My GPU is a 780

Thanks!

No you wouldn't loose fps because your 2nd monitor isn't running a game just beings used for light task.

The general consensus is no, however I have never tried it. I doubt there would be any difference in actual usage and fps difference.

However I do want to test the vram usage and see the difference in usage with one and two displays.

Yeah, I will just be using the 2nd monitor for browsing, or watching videos, or going on the Linus forums :P while I've got the 1440p one running a game. So I won't lose a substantial amount of performace?

No. I see no effects gaming on one screen with two monitors.

Nope (at worst it might use like 2% of your gpu memory, if you're worried use on-board graphics)
