I am going to buy a whole new set. I’m not mismatching RAM

My 3000 15-17-17-35 runs at 3600 16-18-18-37. But.... it took literal WEEKS to dial it in. It also highly depends what actual RAM die chips the kit you get have. I have decent Hynix chips that OC decently. But some chips are total duds, and some are amazing. There is A LOT to RAM overclocking, its not super simple.

I recently just built a PC but one of the RAM sticks I bought was DOA. I am going to go to bestbuy when it opens in the morning but they only have 3200 speed RAM in stock and I previously bought a 3600 speed set.  Is it feasible to OC a set of 3200 Ram to 3600 without much trouble?

No it's not feasible, expect trouble.

Seconded - you might manage something if both were the same, but a mismatched pair? No way.

Order some more 3600 online and wait.

I meant mismatched in speed. You'd be ok buying the same brand and model 3600.

It depends on the RAM kit.

I have Corsair vengeance 3000mhz overclock to 3600 with no problems so far

Thanks. One more thing. Can I just change the XMP from 3200 to 3600 and be fine?

No. You would have to go through all the steps of overclocking. It really is a huge pain, and not really worth the effort. I just do it because I enjoy it lol

Depends on the quality of the IC's that are being used  (which if it's an lpx kit , these usually use hynix which isn't known for overclocking ) and the imc and some luck.

It will take time and effort. And it may not even work.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).
