If it can go without that screw I'd just drill the head out tbh

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

I usually try in this order

-Biggest screw driver that'll fit (push down hard and turn to fight cam out)

-Same thing just with very thing double sided tape in the screw slot.

-cut a slot and use a flat head

-Drill out

small screws small drill bit, good chance you'll break the bit if your not careful and damage the mobo

Silent build - You know your pc is too loud when the deaf complain. Windows 98 gaming build, smells like beige

Looking up that laptop. Dang they did not design that thing with serviceability/upgradability in mind. Have to remove the entire motherboard to get to the RAM.

I would second bmx6454's order of troubleshooting. Also carefully apply downwards pressure and wiggle it back & forth. I've had this help a lot to loosen stuck screws.

Man I'm trying to upgrade this laptop ram (asus x453) but this two dang screws is so tight and really stripped. Any idea how to get them off?

Best way since you are doing this on electronics. Take a small file (preferably a small triangular file), place oin edge and make a groove just deep enough to use a standard screw driver (flat head). This is the best way to do this. Also, make sure to vacuum all of the filings before and after you remove the plate.

You could use a screw extractor but in this case you risk the extractor slipping out and damaging the board.

I hope this helps. ;)
