new EVGA x299 DARK dF message

Hello,

I just got my parts - 2x KINGPIN 2080 Ti, i9 10920x, 1tb 905p NVME and the EVGA X299 Dark.

I'm getting the dF code.

Any way I can update the bios without entering to the bios?

OR was it shipped with the new motherboard chip?

 

Please help, getting the package from the US takes lots of time thanks to the quarantine.

Sadly no, this board appears to lack bios flashback.

 

I guess try to borrow a 7th gen chip? Or 9th gen if the box says what generation it supports. Maybe a local repair shop can help.

Borrow 7th Gen or 9th Gen chip...OR... contact EVGA, and have them send you a BIOS chip with the latest BIOS pre-flashed onto it.

The EVGA X299 Dark has a removable BIOS chip, and specifically says in the motherboard manual, you can contact EVGA about this.

 

Not many boards have this feature...

I know the Z390 Dark has this feature, and by first hand experience, the ASUS Crosshair IV Formula (socket AM3), and Crosshair V Formula (socekt AM3+) does too.
