I reckon you'll benefit more from running the FCLK at 1800MHz (if you run the memory at 3600) rather than 1600MHz FCLK but tighter timings. You could try just shoving some more voltage in that kit and trying to get it to 3600 CL18/17.

Budget (including currency): $80-90

Country: 3rd world country

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: games~

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

this is my previous topic: to buy or not to buy 3500

tldr, got my 3500 and b450a-pro on the way

now i have 2 choices and 2 choices only for my memory

- G.Skill RipjawsV DDR4 PC24000 16GB (2x8GB) [F4-3000C16D-16GVRB] ~$86

- G.Skill SniperX DDR4 PC28800 16GB (2x8GB) [F4-3600C19D-16GSXKB] ~$96

which one would be the better option for my cpu-mobo combo
i will overclock those memory, does the higher speed get a better chance to be stable than the lower speed?
fyi, both are not in the memory support list from my motherboard webs
i do see ripjaws V get qvl on X570 chipsets, but not the sniperX (intel only)

thx~

Between those two, the 3600MHz CL19 kit is better.

how about 3200 cl16 ? they should perform better than both of these kits  and should be priced similarly

if i could find one, i would definitely go for that

but right now, the only gskill memory i could find are these 2
thats why im asking, which one is better :)

I myself isnt so bothered with QVL since kits listed can still fail to work with rated settings, but I would choose Ripjaws because the timings are tighter

3200 CL16 would be slightly better for latency, but I still feel like the higher FCLK with the 3600 kit would be more beneficial in most day to day tasks. And as I previously mentioned, you could always try tightening the timings on that kit if you feel like it.
