an upgrade for my fairly old cpu

ayazam

Budget (including currency): $318
Country: 3rd World Country
Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:
Games, might record/stream

Other details:

i now have an i5 4670K 4.5Ghz in GB Z97X UD3H-BK with 16GB RAM (this could sell for $176)

i have exactly $318 (+$20 max) to upgrade (this budget already including the money that i got from selling the old cpu-mobo-ram)
this upgrade is enough to improve my gaming experience (1080p 60Hz)

i already decided to buy:
$107 for a new mobo (MSI B450A-PRO) < so i can overclock the RAM or CPU (if needed)
and later i could upgrade to R7 or R9 (of course at stock clock, or undervolt it)

the cheapest 'good' RAM i could find is $70, is a Patriot Viper Steel PC24000 2x8GB
i dont know the RAM compatibility with the CPU nor the MB

now i have $140 for a CPU
R3 3100 for $120
or R5 3500 for $133
then have the change to get a 'better' ram such as ripjaws V @2666Mhz then overclock it to 3600

should i add (+$20 here?)

or R3 3300X for $155
or R5 3500X for $158

and no, R5 3600 is not an option, its $205

i just need to choose which CPU is the best for a cheap build like this

CPU Ryzen 5 3500 @4.1Ghz 1.05v || Motherboard MSI B450-A PRO MAX || RAM G.Skill SniperX 2x8GB 3600Mhz C19 || GPU iChiLL GeForce GTX 1060 6GB X3 || Case Fractal MiDi R2 || Storage 860 EVO 500GB - HDS72101 - WD10EZEX WD10EARS - WD30EZRX - ST4000NM003 - 2x ST4000DM004 || PSU Corsair RM550 || Display(s) LG 22MP65HQ - AOC 1670SWU || Cooling Corsair H110i GT || Keyboard Topre Type Heaven || Mouse Logitech G403 Prodigy || Sound Khastadio CS-01 - KZ ZSN || Operating System Windows 10 Pro 1903

The 3300X would provide the best gaming experience. 3100 is only a good option if your budget is tight.

its true that i5 is still enough, but i cant get more out of the 4670k with h110i GT
and at cod warzone, it reach 100% if i didnt change base priority from high to normal
and i think i could get more fps with newer cpu, even if my old cpu is overclocked

and wow, i get a reply from a thread starter which thread i use for MB reference for my build and client's build

yeah 3500-3500X is the odd man out, but at GN (3500X) its better than 3300X OCed at gaming
so i think i would get a better performance with 3500 for a cheaper price

thanks, i think ill take the 3500 :)

another info, i didnt get 2nd hand 4770k or 4790k because it cost as much as a new 3500

here, glorifying second hand part is a thing

thats why i choose to get a newer cpu rather than upgrade to the i7
