RX 5700 XT Dead on arival?

What are the chances my RX 5700 XT is DOA on the second one shipped from Newegg?

 

It should light up with RGB when powered on, correct?

 

I am getting irritated I cant figure this out I have no display to even begin installing windows.....

 

Am I doing something wrong?

I mean, I don't think all 5700XTs have RGB lighting on them?

 

Check that your power cables are correctly plugged in, both on the graphics card and PSU side, check that the card is correctly slotted into the PCIe slot and that your display cable's plugged into the graphics card, not the motherboard.

yep - even took the PSU out an witched the slot (full modular) that the power cable going to the GPU was in to make sure - everything else powers on

If you throw in another card instead of the 5700XT, does it work fine?

Ah I see.

You need to control the RGB through Sapphire TriXX software.

 

If you want to control the RGB through the motherboard, you need to connect an ARGB cable to the card, and hook it up to an ARGB header on the board.

ARGB cable is NOT included.

What PSU do you have?

Are you using a single daisy-chained PCI-E cable, or two separate PCI-E 8-pin cables?

The 2x PCI-E 8-pin power connectors are MANDATORY, not optional.

Had to check your profile, EVGA 550W.

List your system specs in the first thread post next time (or make a signature, like what I have).

It is just a general / universal warning notice.

The 5700 XT uses 2x PCI-E 8-pin cables.

 

Make sure you are plugging your monitor into the back of the 5700 XT, and NOT to the back of the motherboard.

Ports on the back of the motherboard are routed to the iGPU...which does not exist on the Ryzen 3600.
