Yeah Ryzen is way better for value in that market. If your mainly going to be gaming I recommend 2x 8 gb sticks because for gaming 16GB is usually the way to go and you should DEFINITELY at least get dual channel memory.

Yeah definitely. the ryzen 5 3600 is faster and cheaper and has a newer manufacturing layout (7nm vs 14nm)

As for GPU, take a look at RX 570 8GB Cards or cheap RX 580 cards. If The 580s are too expensive, you look for cheaper 1650S cards.
