Amd hands down, more cores for less money, and the performance has caught up.

for your purposes 3950x or 3900xt, or amd in general depends on your budget, for gaming other than csgo, it's still intel.

AMD. Only time Intel is a better choice is when the use case is only gaming.

Amd real is the best option. 3900x is a great option or you can wait for XT or just go big guns and 3950x.
