Disable User profile Images

Hi, I was curious is their an option to disable all the silly moving images that user accounts have. Its so annoying trying to read posts and seeing these all the time?

I've resorted to adding an ad blocker just to block these elements. I've never used an add blocker for any other site before this and would like an option so I could remove it again.

For anyone using Waterfox/Firefox to resolve this:

open your browser, type in about:config into the search bar and press enter

search for image.animation_mode, change the status of this from normal/default to once or none and it should prevent them on sites. I would have preferred to block them only on here but at least the site is usable without ad blocker now.
