Ryzen 3 3100 BiOS

Do you need the latest mb bios version to run the r3 3100 or any mb bios that can run r3 will do?

Any BIOS compatible with Ryzen 3000 CPU's can run the R3 3100X.

Yes you will need to update the bios on older board especially the first gen.

Look for 3rd gen ready stickers on the package, some motherboard already updated.

 

on second thought, you may need to update the bios, since it's a relatively new cpu.
