Budget (including currency): About 60000-65000 INR

Country: India

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly gaming, light editing

Other details : Already have Monitor and other peripherals. Refresh Rate is 60Hz(Dont judge), Resolution 1920x1080. Budget is just for the CPU.

I am deciding to make a new pc and have the following parts in mind, but I am not able to decide what would be suited best for my needs. I am planning to use the new pc for the next 5-6 years, and can't and won't overclock. Just one thing- before you go to PcPartPicker, I would like to point that the prices are not same there and elsewhere in India.

Parts/ Requirements list-

CPU-i3-9100f or i5-9400f?

Graphics- GTX 1650 Super or Gtx 1660? (or 4gigs RX 570/580)?

HDD -2TB 7400 RPM

M.2 Nvme Drive- For OS install only (240-256 gigs)

Motherboard- Asrock Phantom Gaming 4 ATX or Asus ROG B365-F Strix Gaming

PSU- 450w-500w ( No need for any 80+ brone/silver certification, just should be from a reputable brand)

Case- Corsair Carbide Spec 01 (or any case with a window).

Ram- 16GB (8GBx2) (should be with atleast a heatsink, RGB/Non-RGB does not matter, if budget does not allow recommend any 8GB one, will upgrade later to 16GB).

Don't blame me for not going AMD way, have had some pretty bad experiences with it. 😛(Call me a fanboy if you want, but that experience made me promise myself not to EVER go AMD)

If my memory serves me right, the 1650 is not a very good video card for the money you spend. I'd go with the 1660.

I'd go higher than that, 600watts, leave yourself room to breathe. 450 cuts it close to what the whole system needs without any wiggle room

The 1650 was not good at all, but the 1650 SUPER is on par with 1060 6gb, and " is better than 1650 by 50%)-Nvidia

Don't get a 9100F or a 9400F. They're last-gen now and really they were last-gen even when they launched. Get a Ryzen 3600 (or a 3300X if it means you can get a better GPU) with a good B450/B550 board or an i5-10400 and a decent Z490 board, though the latter will be the more expensive choice and honestly it wouldn't make little sense in your case.

If the only RX 580 options you have are 4GB models, get the 1650 Super. But again, if you can save some money by going with a 3300X instead of a 3600, get a 1660 Super.

I'd personally ditch the hard drive, unless you absolutely need it, and put that money towards a larger SSD. Some good options would be the Silicon Power P34A80, ADATA SX8200 Pro, Sabrent Rocket, WD SN750 and HP EX950. If these are too expensive, look for the Kingston A2000.

For the PSU I'd get a CX550 or TX550M, though the CX450 will also suffice, even if you go for an RX 580.

Case is personal choice just get something with decent airflow, and for the RAM get a 3600MHz kit, especially if you go with Ryzen, preferably CL16, though CL18 should also do.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

They are quite close to each other

The only difference being that the 1660 has a bigger frame buffer

B450 pro 4 or a tomahawk max

Or go with an LGA 1200 board if you decided to go that route

Just don't pick this platform as it's dead

Get a cx450 or a cx550

That should be good

You would be right about the non super

The super one tho is a completely different card

It's basically a 1660 with a smaller frame buffer

Edit : and again @Mateyyy beat me to it by 1 second lol.

@TofuHarotoBoth are pretty expensive where I live in their own ways. Here the Z490 board and the 3300x (anything above a 3200g) are pretty expensive, any would nearly eat away all my Budget :/(also,can't find any 10th gen boards or processors right now, and wont go AMD anyway due to some personal experience with their processors)

Even the cheapest SSD's cost a pretty penny here.( A 1TB SSD costs about 10,000 INR, a 2TB HDD costs about 4000 INR.)
