can you fix "hal.dll" without losing files or applications on your pc (btw i'm using windows 10)?

so my pc is crashing because i'm ether missing hal.dll or it is corrupted. So i would like to know if there is a way to fix it without the need of a cd since i can not use a cd on this pc and without losing any of my data (aka games, files, applications).

 

just a reminder i am using windows 10.

You can instruct Windows to repair any missing or corrupted Windows-specific files with the instructions at e.g. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system

 

It'll take a rather long time, though, and it has to download around 5GB of stuff.
