Case does little beyond aesthetics.

At best, you will have 5-8 centigrade difference inside, which if you aren't going crazy benchmark OC, does nothing.
Go for even stronger PSU. I'd taregt something in 750-800W 80Bronze+ range with your GPU. And as said before, faster RAM. CL18 isn't bad (16 is better), but try to look up for something in 3000-3200MHz range because compared to 2666 (even overclocked) it will feel like you are on much faster machine.

You can do better with the SSD.

WD SN550 and WD SN750 use TLC memory so will be better than Intel (or Crucial P1) which uses QLC, and are available for about the same price.

There's a 30% off + 4$ off with a coupon at Newegg right now for SN750 (WD Black) which is a higher end SN550, with speeds up to 3.5 GB /s

https://www.newegg.com/western-digital-black-sn750-nvme-500gb/p/N82E16820250109

Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 64-layer 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) WDS500G3X0C

+ $4 off w/ promo code AFMWDS5, limited offer

Seriously, I would order it now, at that price it's very good, much better than Intel choice.

If you can't get it, the SN550 is still better choice than the Intel model :

Amazon.com: WD Blue SN550 500GB NVMe Internal SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, 3D NAND, Up to 2,400 MB/s - WDS500G2B0C: Computers & Accessories

Western Digital Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) WDS500G2B0C - Newegg.com

QLC drives have lower endurance (can write less data on them over the life of the drive, they wear out faster) and they get fast speeds by using a portion of the storage in a special mode that makes it fast ... as you fill the drive, that portion of storage space in special mode decreases, so you'll get slower speeds when you copy big files.

Drives with TLC or MLC memory don't have this issue, they get consistent fast speeds and have higher endurance they last longer and sometimes have longer warranties.

The case was fine, I like the Focus G, but the other suggestions are also good.

You don't really need to spend 100$ on psu, a decent 80% bronze psu would work but they're expensive, you'd spend 80$ or so on one ... so for 20$ difference might as well go for the gold efficiency models.

Dude, just order the SSD, it's a small box, put it in your desk until the other parts arrive and you won't lose it. Like I said, at 30% off and a 4$ coupon, that WD Black SN750 is a really good deal right now, really worth jumping on it.

You're also most likely not gonna order everything at once, as you'll order from different stores, so they'll still come at different dates.

If you want, order it with the memory, you can get 3600 Mhz for 2$ extra (67$) :

G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C19D-16GVRB - Newegg.com

The SSD doesn't need heatsink.

You will probably need 2 TB of storage... in fact within a year you're probably gonna find out you should have spend 10-20$ more and get a 3-4 TB drive instead.

500 GB is enough for  the operating system, some applications and maybe 4-5 games (a lot of games are now in the 30-60 GB range).

You can live with only the SSD for a few months, playing just a few games you're most interested in, if you want to put that 50$ into a more powerful video card for example. It would be worth it.  A 50$ difference can get you into a higher level of video card performance.

For example, see this card at 300$ : EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 KO GAMING Video Card, 06G-P4-2066-KR, 6GB GDDR6, Dual Fans, Metal Backplate - Newegg.com

You get much better performance than 1660 Super .. here's a review: https://www.techpowerup.com/review/evga-geforce-rtx-2060-ko/27.html

AMD 5600 XT cards are almost as powerful (see chart below) and they're around 280$ :

Amazon.com: Gigabyte Radeon RX 5600 XT WINDFORCE OC 6G Graphics Card, 3X WINDFORCE Fans, 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6, GV-R56XTWF2OC-6GD Video Card: Computers & Accessories

TLC drives use the exact same techniques if you werent aware to achieve high burst speeds

SN750 is a better pick, but the SN550 is as far as i know a cacheless drive.

And the drive endurance is not a significant downside when it comes to QLC drives for consumer workloads.

If the files exceed the SLC size. Which is at minimum around 5-7GB when the drive is almost full to much larger caches. Same applies to the TLC drives, but at a lower write speed penalty. Tho these thing really only apply if you were to copy games from an equally fast drive over to it (from a consumerload perspective)

It's hard to think of this, but if you have a very tight budget, but you may be able to get more money soon, think what you can ADD or UPGRADE after you buy the pc.

* You can always ADD a hard drive later.

* You can add sticks of memory later.

You're very unlikely to upgrade the video card and you'll lose quite a bit of money selling it used (they lose value quickly just like cars).

You can live with just the SSD for a month or two or even more, it's not like you're gonna install 20 games and play a different game every night. You're not gonna need 2 TB right away.

So, if you can get some 50-60$ within a few months, you can order the hard drive separately and simply add it to your PC later, and it would be just as if you bought it with the PC.

If the budget is super tight, you could also buy just ONE stick of ram, and use the PC for a month or two with just 8 GB of memory. There's no law saying that you MUST have two sticks installed, but it's highly recommended that you do because you get more performance like that.

Yes, there will be some performance loss if you use only 1 stick, maybe 5-10%, but as soon as you add the second stick, it will be like you never ran the PC with a single stick.... so if you want to save 30$ when you first build the PC, it can be a reasonable choice.

You don't have to buy sticks in pairs to work in dual channel mode, they're not "hand picked" or tested to work well together... you can just buy the same brand and model stick and the motherboard will instantly pair them together.

So what I'm trying say is that if you're mainly looking to buy this pc for gaming, you should focus on video card performance, and spending a bit more money there will really make the pc last longer, and need less upgrades in the future.

One other thing I'd like to point out ... the motherboard.

The motherboard is very good, high quality, very good for overclocking. But, you're 12 years old, you're probably not gonna do any serious overclocking, and if you budget is this tight, you're probably not gonna upgrade soon to a 12 core or 16 core processor.

Basically, it's overkill, you could easily go for something cheaper yet still very good match for a 6 core processor like Ryzen 3600 or even a 8 core processor.

Here's a better for gaming build :

I only skipped the wifi adapter, because you don't want to spend 40$ on one. You can buy cheaper ones.

Another option is to wait for B550 motherboards, there's a slim chance you may get a budget model with wifi built in for around 100-110$.

 @keik i got a cl16 and i have a 650w. it says estimated is about 304.

Well, yeah, those are always MAX PEAK wattage, you will never produce that kind of load during normal usage of pc. Yet, I also didn't want to spend extra 5-15$ doing my build and I regret buying weaker PSU. It's still doing its job, but later upgrades were a bit of a hassle.

And for the drives. I recently got 4TB HDD for cheap and eh, can't really recommend it but wanted larger storage. Got 2 SSD drives and M2 card as well, and those are modern standard. And there are heatsinks, as those do get warm, but any case with air flowing trough it will cool them. And after 3 years of heavy usage, my OS SSD is still 98% healthy.
