Current AMD GPU is suffering from an annoying bug, which NVIDIA GPU should I get?

bluecew

I just installed a new Radeon RX 5600XT along with the newest drivers and the newer vBIOS. This was the first AMD GPU I ever bought, not happy with it after many people recommended me to buy this GPU. I am constantly stuttering in every game with a Core i7-6700 (non-K) 3.4GHz and 32GB of 2133MHz DDR4 RAM. I even reinstalled my AMD drivers with display driver uninstaller and the stuttering issue still persists. I have asked on multiple forums including here and on Reddit, it seems like nobody else has this issue. Definitely not happy with my first AMD experience, going to return this card and switch back to NVIDIA again. Not sure if it's just the ASUS model or what, but I'm done. I was thinking about the RTX 2060 but is there any other good NVIDIA pair? I am a noob at computer hardware.

Nope, not going to waste so much time backing up and then re-downloading everything. I've done it before due to computer viruses, far too annoying.

your blaming it on the GPU without giving us enough data to tell what it is

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here as it could be system related and not necessarily the GPU....some things to try....that aren't hard.....install the card in a different slot on the motherboard, make sure background apps have been stopped, run a cleaning program like advanced system care to clean up old garbage, if you have a spare drive....try a clean install on that so you don't "have to start fresh" if that doesn't fix it, make sure you have free space for cache on your main drive....beyond that...sure give a 2060 a whirl, they have similar performance.

You complain about your GPU but you did not run all the troubleshoot steps, yes, that also means a clean install.

Did you uninstall all the nVidia crap with DDU before swapping the card over?

Alright, I have done more investigation and figured out the exact cause of the stuttering issue. It was due to unstable core clocks. Will repost another thread with more details soon.
