USB Format

Every time I try to transfer windows to my USB I get this error message "The item “Win10_1909_English_x64.iso” can’t be copied because it is too large for the volume’s format." I am not sure how to fix this problem. I am using my Macbook as well. I have a 32 GB USB. Thanks for everyones help !

Are you trying to make a bootable windows installer?

 

If so, use rufus, you can't just copy the iso to a usb drive. Or use bootcamp on a mac

 

The issues is fat32 has a 4gIb file size limit.

You can't just copy iso to usb. You need to extract it to usb and make it bootable. Because it's not very easy if you have no experience with that stuff, there are programs that can help you to do whole process. Probably on Mac too.

You don't just transfer the .ISO file.

You use the .ISO file to make the USB into a bootable media -- you can use the Media Creation tool directly on Microsoft's site.

 

The downloadable .ISO is for if you want to make the bootable media on your own later

(e.g. on on a USB stick, or DVD, etc).

If you already have the .iso file you can use Rufus to create a bootable Windows installation media.

You could install Windows with bootcamp or in a VM using VirtualBox.

Bootcamp on my mac is not working :/. How do I use virtual box ?

You install the software and you install Windows 10 with an .iso file. If you don't have a .iso file yet you can use the media creation tool to make one.
