Seriously, don't buy a crap EVGA BR power supply and an overpriced 2060 when you can get MUCH better. Not to mention a 5 times larger and VASTLY superior SSD

Several pieces of advice. Never buy a cheap garbage tier power supply for heavy workloads. Always compare prices for ALL options - don't blindly buy based on recommendations even from us. Most people (broad sense) will recommend a part without even considering the potential for price drops/variance or existence of alternatives. For example - look above. You can get a 5700 which gives you better performance than a 2060 Super yet you still get people recommending a 1660. Even though that card is a LOT slower.

first of all. cxm 450w is decent but it only has 1x8pin power for gpu meaning that OP cant upgrade in the future without replacing the psu.

EVGA BR is pretty shit. if you really need EVGA get atleast BQ.

1660 ti is very overpriced. with that budget you could get 5600Xt or rx 5700.

NZXT h510 is pretty nice case but it has poor airflow. you could get something better instead. something like Focus G or p300A form phanteks.

g.skill aegis is decent ram but for that budget you can get 3600mhz cl16 ram easily.

rtx 2060 is overpriced too sicne you can get rx 5600XT much cheaper and it will perform the same. @GiftedNovaHD @F.E.A.R.

 

@5x5 build was pretty good overall. i would get some case with better airflow but overall good suggestion

I agree. Thank You for the feedback. Let's conclude the thread. However, for PSU, I would not go for a non modular PSU even if it is cheap, bad cable management means lesser airflow. For case, I went for SPEC-Delta just because it already has 3 LL120 fans I believe and the case is also relatively airy. RAM-wise, 3600Mhz doesn't make much of a difference as compared to 3200Mhz in most scenarios.

BQ isnt non modular. it is semi modular psu.

spec delta is decent looking, but i would recommend that. 3600mhz isnt that mucn more expensive but will come handy in workloads etc. in gaming tho there is minimal difference between them

I agree with the 1660ti and 2060 being overpriced, but keep in mind that with amd gpus you could have more problems than Nvidia. It depends on what are you going to play (game, resolution, screen refresh rate). Maybe a you could consider a 1660 super (same performance as the ti version for 50$ less).

What? Driver issues haven't been a thing for close to a year. Don't scare the OP with outdated issues that have been fixed a long time ago. Also, the 1660 Super is a 1660 with GDDR6 - it's notably slower than the 1660 Ti and VASTLY slower than the 2060 Super/5700

It's more than worth getting the Neo ECO Zen Gold - the extra cables are just zip-tied at the bottom next to the power supply itself and they won't impact airflow what-so-ever. A signfiicant downgrade to the BQ or BR models just for modularity is

As long as performance isn't hindered, it doesn't matter which PSU you use as long as you can cable manage

Exactly - the only way to hinder performance with cables is to leave them hanging in front of fans. If you tuck them into an unused drive bay - they're a non issue.

It's the best budget CPU on the market - if you want to save a bit of money, it's fine. The 3600 is still 50% more powerful, though.

You know what, i'll just go straight to the point. What do you that I can change in this list to make it a really good budget pc for its price and performance (aside the case because i really like the case)? I was planning for a 750$-900$ build but im not sure if this is a good and value build for its price and performance

I've thrown in a good 20$ cooler so that you can enable PBO and get the maximum out of your CPU. As for the card - the 5700 is on the level of the 2060 Super for the same price as the shit cooler models of the 2060 non Super

thanks man, I'll take your list into huge consideration for my new build. another thing im thinking in my head is should I buy the parts from a retail store and ask them to assemble it or is it way better and cheaper to buy them online and build it myself ? (pretty new to this kind of stuff since i've been playing on my brother's pc that he gave me 5 years ago)(also I live in malaysia if that helps)
