I’m sure hundreds of ads are frothing to get you to pay money to learn their “secret” for doing that which usually turns out to be make a website advertising a get-rich-quick scheme where you need to pay to learn their “secret”

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

They actually tried carrier pidgin WiFi I’m the alps somewhere.  Loaded them up with SD cards.  Bandwidth was surprisingly good though latency was of course awful.
