I wanted to create a low power bitcoin miner that would be fairly cheap to make. This made me decide to use my Raspberry Pi as a low power mini pc. For software I used MinePeon that is a miner designed for the Raspberry Pi and can be accessed from any PC by typing in the IP address in a web browser. Download it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/minepeon/files/latest/download?source=files. The next thing to think about was mining hardware. I decided to buy a block erupter that mines at about 333 MH/s. I got this for £13.50 ($22.47) from eBay. However these need to be powered by a powered usb hub as the Raspberry Pi does not output enough power from its USB ports. The hub I decided to get was a D-Link H7 Powered 7 Port USB Hub. This cost me about £20 ($33.29). This can power 5 block erupters and the Raspberry Pi itself. I now have a bitcoin mining rig that cost about $50 (as I already had the Raspberry Pi), I have this running 24/7 and earns me about 0.00005448 BTC per day. I am planning on getting 4 more block erupters to fill up the hub, increase my hashrate, to increase my revenue. Below are some photos of the rig:

This won't break even in the next year. But hopefully it will after I purchase a few more block erupters.

You dont understand maths very well, do you?

The block erupters will NOT make you any money at the current dificulty, no matter how mant you buy. Unless you can get them for free, and power them with free electricity..

Lol, if you buy more you'll be even more money in the hole... More miners means more to pay off, fi if you can't brake even on one how do you expect to on 10?

Well, it's fun to do this even if I don't make money anytime soon.
