Bah.

At least Cox is decent. About 25-30MBPS in Speedtest.net. I dunno how much my dad pays but I think it's for 250GB. I went over that one time when I reinstalled Windows and had to download everything again.

I currently pay $85 US for 50/5 via Time Warner Cable. Its the fastest speed offered in my area right now even though TWC is upping their highest tier to 100/? in the next few weeks. There are also talks that AT&T U-Verse is supposed to up their speeds.

Fiber Master Race here I come!

To bad I probably live to far out of the Raleigh area to get it, but it would be nice, maybe at least it will drive the other providers in this market to drop their prices to make them seem like more of a value.

Much better. FiOs is a little better than 100Mbps no matter what Verizon likes to claim their speed is. They're notorious for throttling their speeds.

Is it better than FiOS?

Sure is.

Best plan from Verizon FiOS: 500 Mbps up and 100 Mbps down for $299 a month

Best plan from Google Fiber: 1000 Mbps up and 1000 Mbps down for $70 a month.

If Google Fiber comes to Long Island, New York, then shuddup and take my money.

In a perfect world, I'd have my PC specs here. However, my PC specs are embarrassing, so I'd rather not.
