It works just fine( screen wise ) like everything is working. Just with my old gpu, the driver would always run in the back ground. now it doesn't.
*was using nvidia control pannel

Uninstall your drivers using DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html (follow the instructions given on the website/in the README.txt file)

Install the Radeon drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500x-series/radeon-rx-570x

The AMD equivalent to Nvidia Control Panel would be 'Radeon Settings', with an icon like this:

just swapped a 2gb msi gpu, for a MSI Radeon RX 570. if I run msi afterburner, it'll read. Is there anything I do/ need to do?

What does it do?
Have you already uninstalled the older drivers and installed the new videocard drivers? Alternatively if that did not work, have you already tried to uninstall the old drivers with DDU?

Just download the latest AMD drivers and install them. The newer Adrenalin installers have a built in "clean install" option so make sure you leave that checked if presented. Once those are done you're good to go.
