Does gtx 1080 or gtx 1080 ti support 4K movies playback?
  I am asking because my laptop has served me for 7 years and it is now very weak to run 4k resolution, and now i intend to buy a pc with specs that contain gtx 1080, so i searched a lot and found other graphics besides gtx 1080 card which is gtx 1080 ti, please help thank you

Dont expect Ultra Settings in demanding Games running with high fps.

If you’re planning on just streaming 4K content, you can save a lot of money and go for a much cheaper card. I’m pretty sure the built in graphics cards on Intel chip 7th gen and newer can play 4K video.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.
