See details below. And it may work but im worried if i buy it it wont work! Does anyone know motherboards that 100% works with the 3600 without a bios update.

As mentioned in your previous thread, a Ryzen 5 3600 and an MSI MAX motherboard will 100% sure work together.

If you don't want that warning, you need to get an X570 board, which is in my opinion not worth it for the money.

For older boards, you can ask the seller if the bios has been updated for the 3000 series. If it turns out that the motherboard doesn't after arrival, it should be an easy refund.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

Any X570 motherboard will work without a bios update.

However a B450 board, which is much cheaper, will work with a bios update. Depending on where you're buying, the specs should indicate cpu support.

Try this motherboard:        https://pcpartpicker.com/product/cvhmP6/asrock-x570-phantom-gaming-4s-atx-am4-motherboard-x570-phantom-gaming-4s

While this Ryzen 5 3600 would be supported on older motherboards of the same AM4 socket such as B450 motherboard, a BIOS update may be required depending if it has an older BIOS version when manufactured. Would contact the seller to ensure that the motherboard comes with a compatible BIOS version and/or free returns are available.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

I would recommend getting an X570 motherboard to ensure compatibility then, any one of these motherboards would work well for your system:        https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/#c=138&X=0,16018&s=33

I already explained:

ALL msi motherboards with the word MAX in the name are guaranteed to ship with a BIOS that is updated for Ryzen 3000. Pcpartpicker does not know this.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

It makes me wonder why people put so much stock into that website. I've seen it claim that parts are compatible with each other when they aren't, and vice versa, so its not as reliable as people think it is.

The link can't be private since it is just a motherboard search page sorted for X570 socket AM4 motherboards under $160. Just validated that the link is working, you may have an internet issue or something if it isn't showing up.

PCPartsPicker should definitely not flag these for compatibility issues then, although for some other motherboards older than X570 socket AM4, BIOS needing to updated could be possible.

Beware of any budget motherboards. If its really that cheap, its because it was cheaply made. You can also do without that HDD. I'd get an external one instead, so that it can actually serve a real purpose, as a back up.
