amp/dac advice please? Dolby Atmos? DTS? 7.1 Virtual?

Go to solution Solved by The Flying Sloth,

I must stress though that the endorsements I found relate only to interfaces with dedicated headphone amplifiers so the cheapest option from Behringer will be the UMC202HD and the Cheapest from Focusrite the Scarlett 2i2, now, I'm sure there are probably other interfaces with the ability to power the headphones for less money but I just don't know what they are and without direct endorsement from the manufacturer or a trusted forum member (here or otherwise) I don't want to tell you to buy something that I think can power it (like the Swissonic UA-2x2, Presonus AudioBox iOne or Native Instruments Komplete Audio 1) and be wrong.

Sloth

@Falenkor if you buy the c2 set you can drop the mic booster which means it'll be around the same price.

@Falenkor I also see it for 70 but it still costs the same if you go with the dynamic+mic booster or a pair of c2 and no mic booster.

Yep, though I didn't notice the shipping cost which would bring the total for mic, interface and amp (including shipping) to $130.
Thomann is the world's largest online music retailer, located in Germany so German (and European) stuff (like behringer) is crazy cheap
They don't break, like I said, I own 4 and have treated them pretty rough, not a single problem.

Why wouldn't you get a mic booster though? Thought that would be needed

You need mic booster for dynamic mics but for condenser mic you need phantom power which is on your audio interface

Booster is only for dynamic mics, wouldn't need it for the C2, that's what he's trying to say

Not that I've found but the shipping is a flat rate so if you ever wanted to grab a new guitar... Or anything really.... The Thomann brand stuff is crazy high quality for real cheap.
It's a smart move on their part, encourages people to buy bulk (and people like me fall for it constantly)
Oh, and before I forget, you would need a mic cable too, would suck to forget that.

hmm I dont think a regular boom arm stand that attaches to a desk will work on such a small mic right?
