Ryzen 5 3600 Cooling

LewisBros

I have, after a bit of research, discovered that, not to my surprise, the cpu cooler that comes with the 3600 is pretty bad. Therefore, I want to purchase a different air cooler for my cpu. The only issue is, I'm not sure which one to get. I've clicked countless review sites and videos for "top 5 coolers for the 3600" and such and every time they are different coolers. I would like to stay away from liquid cooling because they tend to be more expensive and I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible. I want to find a decent air cooler that I can use to overclock the gpu a little bit (hopefully to 3.9GHz ish) and, simultaneously, keep it relatively cool at a fair price. I've been looking around and can't seem to find such a cooler or maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places. If anyone has an ideas or any that they have personally used that they can recommend that would be a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

Thanks!!!

I have heard of that one a couple times being pretty good and yeah, that's what I assumed for the stock cooler. The 34 duo looks pretty good and has a good price tag on it. Do you think it'll do the trick?

Pretty much any tower cooler will be sufficient. You could even try pick up a cheap wraith prism, I've seen them go for as little as 10 USD.

If you're trying to keep price down, the Gammaxx 400 or SE-224 XT are hard to beat:

I like the looks of the SE-224 XT. Do you know if this cooler would be good enough to overclock the 3600 a little bit as well?

Yes, it wouldn't make sense to recommend it otherwise. You can see how the performance stacks up to other coolers here:
