Need a new power supply?

Rafael F1

I have ordered a GTX 1660 Super and i saw that you need an 8 pin aditional power slot . My PSU is a FSP Hexa+ 500W . Will I be able to plug the cables?

Looks like this PSU has the connector for it, but I can't recommend this PSU+GPU combination. The PSU is not meant for powerful videocards.

Something like a Corsair CX550 would be a good replacement for it (assuming you have an otherwise consumer CPU).

I looked on the nvidia page and they said that 450W will be enough . Anyway thanks for advice!

Corsair TX550M, 80+ Gold, 550W . Is it better than that? I don't want to burn my motherboard ://

There's a difference between a good 450W and a bad 500W.

Not much different. The TX is semi-modular though.

Personally I check all PSU's via the tier list on this forum:

Great source to get a grasp of a PSU's quality.

One more thing . I have a MSI B360M Gaming Plus motherboard and will the Corsair TXM Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply be compatible with it?

Yep, those are compatible.

Your motherboard needs a 24 pin ATX connector and an 8 pin EPS connector, which the TX550M has both.

But on the msi site it says that it needs 1 x 8-pin ATX 12V power connector https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B360M-GAMING-PLUS/Specification . And I still don't know if it will fit in my case :///

Sorry, missed this message.

8 pin EPS/ATX is the same thing.

It will likely fit the case, take off the other sidepanel.
