What games on this list are priority to be on a ssd

Hello, this is probably not the right place to be asking this type of question, but I was wondering what games in my steam library should be on a ssd. Here are the games I have Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition (already on the ssd), Jedi: Fallen Order, Civilization VI, Subnautica, Slime Rancher, Fallout 4, 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed: Syndicate, TABS, Rainbow Six Siege, House Flipper, The Division 1 and 2, Monster Hunter: World, and Dark Souls III. It is a very big list but my SSD is going to be only a game drive not with windows, movies, etc. I have a MX500 Crucial 500gb ssd.

 

Note: I also have a 1tb Western Digital Blue HDD with everything else going on that.

Well its a noise thing as well as load times.

 

A ticking HDD can be heard over other noises in less graphically demanding games.

 

WIth SSD prices there is little reason to put any games on a HDD. I have everything from open world games to point and click adventure games like Monkey Island and Broken Sword series.

 

I have a 4TB HDD that is just for movies and pics so I moved my user folders for those to it. (Except My Documents)

 

I then have a 1TB SSD for games storages, its barely half full at the moment and I have space in the case to add another SSD if I need it. I also put my “my docs” on there for quick loading of any saves and stuff on there. 

 

I also boot off an M.2 which has my big sandbox games on like Skyrim and flight sims, they take up most of the room on it with the OS, with just enough space for safety!

 

If you are short on space you can keep games on the HDD but swap them with a similar sized game using Steam to the SSD when you know you want to play them.

Jedi: Fallen Order is one that actually ticked me off a bit with the loading times, so I'd go with that.

I would say things with particularly long loading times, and games which load continuously as you play and move around (open world).  Beyond that, it's just a luxury, but for those two (especially the latter) it's closer to (or even outright) a necessity.

I'd put Fallout 4 if you have it heavily modded for sure.

Subnautica needs to go on the SSD, it has some serious issues when chunks don't load in fast enough, you can become trapped inside larger objects if they finish loading after you were already there.

In general: online/multiplayer games, intensive games (Civ VI).
