Hey guys,

I'm gonna build a 5000-6000 USD gaming + streaming rig... Can you guys please give me suggestions for the parts that I could use? Also, I was really hoping to use the i9 9900KS CPU but couldn't find it anywhere. If anyone has a dealer or a site, pls do tell. One more thing, I'm gonna be gaming and streaming on the same rig so kindly suggest parts accordingly. The 5000-6000 USD is only for the build. The peripherals are separate. Thanks a lot.

$5000 for a gaming and streaming build is ridiculous, even with the build above I overspent on the SSD, CPU, potentially even RAM and motherboard, considering your use case.

Thanks a lot everyone for the suggestions. The thing is I'm from India so I can't go the local stores in the US, but I can surely try newegg, amazon or b&h. Also, is an rtx Titan better or 2 x 2080ti s. And the budget is 5k as I am trying to make the worlds best gaming rig. So would an i9 9900K/KS be better or an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X?

In the long run a 3950x is def better but RTX Titan for gaming or 2080Ti in SLI doesn't make sense nowadays. A lonely 2080Ti will give you Almost the same performance than the Titan and cost twice as less.

the best rig stops at around $4000, after that the money spent doesn't really go into any performance, just looks.

Bro I am going for 64 gigs of ram... All I wanna ask is which is the best, emphasis on best, graphics card that I can get. A 2080ti? 2 x 2080ti's? Or a single Titan Rtx?

64 gb won't do you any good, 32gb is huge for gaming. You can add memory later don't worry about it.

Yeah the best is Titan RTX, but practically 2080ti is ok.

You won't get twice the performance of 2080ti for twice the price, only 10%, not really worth it.

Titan cards are for 3D design, video editing etc, not worth it for gaming.

So would you suggest that I go for a single 2080 ti and spend more on peripherals or should i take 2 2080 ti s instead. I am looking for zero compromise in performance. Also is it worthwile to wait for the new 4000 series chips from AMD?

There won't be any games that support more than 1 in the future.

Investing another one would make no sense.

Spend your money on better peripherals like gaming chair, monitors, VR Headset and speakers.

 

4000 series won't be here till the end of the year at least.

You can upgrade the current system if the new generation arrived.

And last but not the least, which is the best case that I can get for e-atx mobos? I would love to have a 360mm radiator on the top and 3 x 120mm fans in the front, so basically I want a case with e-atx support and max rgb.

Yes. The mobos might have issues with some kits, but they also have lists for verified RAMs. At this point of cycle (3rd gen Ryzen being out for 6 months) any issues with general consumer RAM should have been ironed out with BIOS updates.

 

As side note about your budget here. I assume you are talking about USD after currency conversion and what the parts would be locally vs what you are looking at PCPP? You should say this in opening post as it will remove some of the frequent trolls these high budget builds tend to gather. I believe this is legit and not dream build, as the questions you are asking are good.

 

Also keep in mind that in US they don't pay tax on parts, so pricing you will see on PCPP is even lower than what it would be after sales tax is applied. So looking at UK, Canada or Germany PCPP might give better price range that hits the budget you are aiming for.

I just watched Linus' latest video... Since my build is primarily for gaming, I am looking for an i9 9900KS instead of an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X... I am not able to find any dealer here in India, so can anyone please hook me up with a dealer or a site? I'd really appreciate it. As of now there is low to no availability of parts, so I'm hoping to start building this rig by mid or end of June.

 

P.S. I'm going for a single Titan RTX for my GPU

Hey guys,

So I have dropped the idea of getting a gaming laptop and I shall instead get an entire PC. I had a doubt though... For the CPU should I go with the Intel i9 9900K or should I go with an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. I am going to play games (Of Course), stream from the same PC, study, do programming, and video editing on the PC. So basically i wanna build a beast of a build with zero compromise in gaming and streaming performance. I would love to have at least 240fps lock on Fortnite. For the GPU, as of now I'm going with a Titan RTX, but I'm open to any other suggestions and I'd really appreciate if you help out with this as well. As for ram, I'm going 64 gigs of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro.
