I'm gonna build a computer, not for gaming, for multitasking, programming and rendering. I have to choose motherboard. Here is my rig:

Ryzen 7 3800x

Corsair vengeance rgb 2x8gb 3600mhz

Sapphire pulse radeon rx 550 4gb

Corsair hydro h100i platinium

PSU 750w

Case corsair 275r white

Mobo?

SSD M.2 inter 660p 1tb

HDD 2tb toshiba

Corsair 2 case fans

I'd like one x470 or b450 able to overklock CPU and RAM, ATX, and all the basics.

Can you help me choose motherboard?

Edited: sorry for the poor information.

Country is Catalonia, Spain. Budget not sure but I'd rather a MB cheaper than 150€. I don't think i need a x570, i prefere to keep it simple for the MB i don't need that much.

Thanks!

Where are you located? Budget?

ATX reasonably priced-very affordable boards:

MSI B450 A-pro MAX, B450 Gaming Plus MAX, B450 Tomahawk MAX

MSI X470 Gaming Plus MAX.

Would you consider a X570 board, or you would rather not? (lot of people don't like the fact, that the chipset is actively cooled).

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

What is your budget .. what is your Country .. what are your prioritys ? Builtin wifi .. six sata ports...  2/3  m.2 ports ... V god auidio,   built in raid , eco power supping, able to withstand 90 heat and 87% moisture

Gaudy and Garish lighting to frighten the demons depicted on your gfx card box?

Asus are god but tend to be 10-30% more expensive than other brands.

Asrock , Msi

Gigabyte

Biostar

Onda

Ebay !

ASrock B450 Gamiing/Itx AC ... Buy it ... Its The Law.

Budget arround 150€

Country Catalonia, Spain

Priorities good audio, M.2, able to overclock, be compatible with the rest of the rig, the basics...

None light or a few led or rgb. It doesn't matter.

This b450 are pretty good. I've been taking a look at tomahawk max.

wait, then in this case the rest of the build doesnt make sense. 3800X is just a higher clocked 3700x that does not guarantee better silicon, RGB memory basically gets 20% higher price just for the LEDs (and you may want to check the timings they are rated for), and the cooler is overpriced for the same reason.

What i thought is to build a white rig. The cooler is because it looks great, I'm gonna spend a few more bucks for an AIO platinium.

I'm gonna check the prices of the RAM.

What do you mean with the CPU 3700x?

Aren't they higher binned?  I used to believe there was no difference between them, but local Zen2 forum thread reported from user experiences, that the 3800x boosts better and maintains clocks on lower vcore voltages.

Same story for 3600-3600x--> I believt they are roughly the same, but according to users, the x-designated runs better.

Or are these just reported, as people want to justify their purchases?

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

On average it's about 100-200MHz better which doesnt mean anything in work or games, while some worse samples are even inferior to bettrr 3700X like the ones Gamers Nexus has.
