Whats your current PPD?

Currently I'm getting about 900K PPD but my CPU and the CPU in another system I have aren't working on units at the moment. In total I got 24 hardware threads and 3 GPUs.

I've spent the last hour playing with values in gputweakII.

I'll be hard of hearing soon!

That is unfortunate, I've been pausing and resuming throughout the day and got my ppd to above 3 million. I had to stop though because my gpu was heating up my room way too much

edit: I don't know why but pausing and resuming when there are no wu's available seems to work most of the time?

I've done that a few times, but I don't want to babysitting it all the time..im generally busy working or playing games if im on the PC's.

Now that ive paused/resumed it again its running, my main machine is about 2M PPD, the server is 1M PDD

Getting only about ~530k PPD on a i5-8400 and GTX 1060. Seeing all your >1m PPD makes me jealous 😢

When your machine can't get a WU, there's an exponential back off, before it'll retry again to avoid overloading their servers with requests (a minute or two at first and slowly creeping up to an hour or more).

When you pause/resume, your client will try again immediately instead of waiting. You should usually avoid that, because if everyone does that, it'll only make the issue worse.

The reason why pausing works is because it resets the wait/attempt timer. If the client asks for a WU and there isn't any it will wait some random amount of time (lets say 35 min) but if you pause and start it again it will do an attempt immediately and fail but the timer will be set to something like 1min 36 seconds and it will try again. If you watch it and keep pausing and restarting it you'll get more attempts but you'll only get a WU if ones available.

I'm between 360-500K, limiting factor is getting WU's.  When both slots are running it estimates I should be able to do north of 750K daily.

About 3M on 2 GPUs. But that depends on WU type, so...

Check out my current PPD!

Maybe just a bad WU that one seems REALLY low based on 2 days of watching my 8700K.     ...... and I thought 8K WU instead of 20K WU was killing my PPD.

I stand corrected.  Both display a base of 1000 on the current CPU WU.  The only difference between an 8086 and 8700K should be a base clock correct? (mine is at 5.0 right now)

Currently when I can get WUs I'm hitting 2 million consistently, almost 3 million PPD with all my spare gpu power going towards folding, even on my laptops :D

I have running at the moment:

- i5-8750H + 1070MQ

- i5-8250U + MX150

- R5 2600X + GTX 770

- i7-8700K + GTX 1070 Ti

I'm still struggling to get WUs, though, and many of my uploads were failing

it's been hard to get work units. we all know how that goes. I have a second system running but i haven't figured how how to link the clients.

main is i9-9900k, RTX 2080, secondary is a i5-3570k and GTX 1060 6 GB. i think i'm getting about 500k points a day off the second system if it can get enough work units.

Primary pc: rx 5700 and ryzen 5 1600af - around 1M ppd

Secondary pc: rx 570 and ryzen 5 2400g - 500k ppd

So total around 1.5M ppd...thats the best I can do with 2 pc's in my household...
