hyper 212 evo

Go to solution Solved by Carter,

just to ask so u only take the old one off and screw the new 1 in right?

Almost but you will need to clean your cpu with isopropyl alcohol to get rig of the old thermal paste, then apply some more. There are guides on how to do this. A cut out is a hole in the tray that your Mobo is fixed to allowing you to fit the bracket behind the CPU to screw the cooler into. Of you have a cutout then chances are all you need to do is take both side off. If not then you will have to take the Mobo out

depends if you have a cpu cutout on the back of the motherboard tray on your case.

Hi

can u install one of these without taking the pc apart?

thanks

The Hyper 212 EVO is a CPU cooler, so you will need to remove the side panel of your case, remove the current CPU cooler, remove and reapply thermal paste, then install the new cooler :)

Hole in the back of the motherboard tray is called a cut out.
