If you hover your mouse over the title of the post in the sub-forum, you can get a mini-preview of the thread/game's .GIF before you click on it to view it in full:

Although I get that including the title of the game somewhere would definitely make things more straightforward.

Yup. And it might just give the person no reason to click on it. It might give them no reason to even acknowledge that it exists.
