What is the best thing to learn next in web development?

I'm currently learning web development and in following a full stack course. Some of the things it teaches me are jQuery, Bootstrap and PHP.

 

I've recently discovered nodeJS and React and I have grown to like them.

 

I want to know if it's worth learning PHP or should I skip that section and learn nodeJS and React.?

imo, you should learn PHP if you want to work on existing websites besides your own

In terms of popularity defined as hype - React and Node.JS are way higher than PHP. If you get to know it really well, like spent months with it you should be able to apply for mid-dev positions even. But with JS you have to be agile - there is always something new showing up and if it gets traction among companies they will put it on job offers and you have to know it. PHP is stable for web dev, knowing the most popular framework or maybe Wordpress specialization would be a big plus, pure PHP not so much (you often get hired for a specific software stack) - although there are also alternatives to PHP like Python and then even more of  web dev platforms and tools. Your course will teach you some basics, but after that on your own you have to work on your skills for months for it not to be wasted and to actually be able to move your dev career.
